Tales of the Fate-Driven

The world of Terra was said to be the favored planet of the Gods, the nexus between mortal life and divine favor, but long are those days gone. Now the only presence the mortals know are that of The Void and its ever looming shadow over the whole of Terra. And all that is left in this gloom haunted world is the hope for a better tomorrow and those who would fight for it. And while there may be many willing to stand up to the challenge there are only four warriors capable of carrying the burden.The first is a dwarf named War Wick, a shambling drunken shell of the ferocious fighter he used to be, the only thing keeping him going, being the flame of hatred within him. The second is a human named Hercules Iwatani, a young optimistic adventurer with the ambitions of becoming a great hero, will he prevail? Or will the world break his spirit like every other thing? The third is a full-fledged demon named Frostbite, a cold, condescending, and callous creature that holds a contempt for all things, but above all he holds the most hate for himself. And the final hero is an elf named Drad, a reserved, calculating, and weary noble with the darkest of secrets, he is the only hero that knows the true depths of the journey they will all embark upon. Or at least that's what he believes. In this tale our four heroes find themselves fated towards the same tournament, all of them with the hopes that this contest will give them what they have been seeking, in one way or another. But as they venture deeper onto the path of the tournament they find it is far more perilous and sinister than they could have ever imagined. With dark agents on the prowl and darkness watching over their every step what hope do they have of overcoming? Can they even conquer the darkness within them? Can they even make it out alive?The only thing for certain is the hard lesson that they are about to learn; that fate does not always lead you down a brighter path. Read more
